By accessing or using YouRateStreams ("the service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

YouRateStreams is a community catalog for rating and discovering publicly available livestream recordings from YouTube, Twitch, and Kick. We do not host the videos themselves — they are embedded from or linked to their original platforms, which retain all rights to that content.

Scores shown on the site are for entertainment and discovery. Each stream starts with a baseline score estimated from its view count, and that score shifts as community members rate it. Scores are not an official or objective measure of a stream or its creator.

Your account

You sign in through a third-party provider (Google, Twitch, or Discord) or with an email and password. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.

User content

You retain ownership of the reviews you write, but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display them within the service.
You agree not to post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, spam, or that infringes others' rights. This applies to reviews and to the username you choose.
Usernames must not impersonate another person, streamer, or brand. We may change or remove a username that breaks these rules.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the service without any obligation to you.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service.
Do not manipulate ratings (e.g. bots, vote brigading).
Do not cheat in the Higher/Lower game (e.g. scripts or tampering with scores). We may remove leaderboard entries we believe are not legitimate.
Do not attempt to access other users' accounts or data.

Third-party content

Streams, thumbnails, and embedded players belong to their creators and the originating platforms. Use of that content through the embeds is also governed by YouTube's, Twitch's, and Kick's respective terms.

YouRateStreams uses YouTube API Services. By using the service you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. See also the Google Privacy Policy.

Removal requests & copyright

If you are a creator and want one of your streams removed from the catalog, or you believe content on the service infringes your copyright, email youratestreams@gmail.com with a link to the page and a short description. We review requests promptly and remove listings where appropriate.

Disclaimer & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion per our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision.
